WELCOME TO THE Q3 AI ALLIANCE

The AI Alliance, a digital newsletter delivered by Penspen for all things Asset Integrity, brings you the benefit of gathered global expertise in one, combined place to help you stay up to date with industry best practices to manage your assets more effectively.

In the newly produced Integrity in Focus sessions, you can discover and learn about different Asset Integrity solutions by watching short knowledge videos by well-renowned industry experts on-demand.

Focusing on Corrosion Management, the third session gives you an insight into the corrosion challenges associated with the transition to sustainable energy networks. Penspen's Executive Vice President of Technical Excellence, Nigel Curson, discusses how you can prevent and mitigate corrosion whilst safely repurpose existing pipeline infrastructure for 100% hydrogen, hydrogen blends, and natural gas transportation.

TECHNICAL EXCELLENCE

Crack the Code: Mitigate Stress Corrosion Cracking

External Stress Corrosion Cracking (SCC) of buried onshore pipelines is a time-independent threat to the structural integrity of high-pressure pipelines.

The detection and management of SSC is more critical as the industry moves towards the repurposing of pipelines to transport hydrogen or hydrogen-blended natural gas, as hydrogen can potentially influence the toughness and resistance to crack growth.

Our new free paper outlines why and where stress corrosion cracking can occur, and how operators can detect and manage the threat that external SCC poses to pipelines.

Revolutionising Remaining Life Calculations of an Aviation System

A pipeline maintained by Penspen serves as part of a prominent UK airport which transports aviation fuel from a local refinery back to its base. Manual feature matching between large ILI data sets to obtain a Corrosion Growth Rate (CGR) for this pipeline has been a time-consuming process.

Learn how THEIA, Penspen’s Digital Integrity Management Solution, was used as an revolutionary approach to provide a prominent UK airport with timesaving and critical pipeline calculations in a matter of minutes.
