Unveiling the Hidden Threat: Corrosion in Chemical Injection Circuits

Internal corrosion in pipelines and steel vessels is a common concern in preventive maintenance. Chemical treatments, aimed at altering the electrochemical corrosion cell, have been widely used. However, this seemingly effective strategy has been associated with internal corrosion, fatigue, and cracking in the same injection system. Beyond maintenance issues, these problems raise concerns about their impact on health, safety, the environment, and the economy.
